Caned Explorations #26
4 ¾ inches high x 3 ¾ inches wide x 3 ¾ inches deep
Canes are colored glass that are pulled into long spaghetti-like tubes and then chopped up into shorter lengths of 4-6 inches. I particularly enjoy making cane and then applying the canes to the surface of vessels, resulting in many different patterns and visual effects. Combining and twisting many canes together first creates intricate designs that then can be applied to a vessel. Twisting the canes after they are adhered to the surface of the vessel results in yet different patterns and optics.
